Notice of Construction - County Rd 21, Greater Napanee

July 29, 2021

R.W Tomlinson Inc has been contracted by the County of Lennox & Addington to rehabilitate County Rd 21 in Greater Napanee from County Road 8 south to Highway 33.

The rehabilitation generally consists of drainage improvements (ditching & culverts), in-place pulverizing of the existing asphalt, adding granular material and re-paving including paved shoulders. 

To facilitate the work, temporary lane closures will be required and some traffic delays can be expected.

Notice of Construction - County Rd 6, Loyalist Township and Township of Stone Mills

R.W Tomlinson Inc has been contracted by the County of Lennox & Addington to rehabilitate two sections of County Rd 6, one in Loyalist Township and one in the Township of Stone Mills.  The southern section (Loyalist) is from County Road 28 (Millhaven Rd) in Odessa to the CN Rail tracks. The northern section (Stone Mills) is from Wilson Rd to County Road 1 in Yarker.

Notice of Bridge Work - Salmon River Bridge

National Structures Inc. has been contracted by the County of Lennox & Addington to rehabilitate the Salmon River Bridge located on County Road 41 in Roblin.  The work generally consists of replacement of concrete curbs and railings, bridge deck repairs and re-paving.

To facilitate the work the bridge will temporarily be restricted to a single lane for traffic controlled by portable traffic signals. Traffic delays should be expected.  Cyclists and Pedestrians will be able to cross the bridge while this work is ongoing.

Parking, Snow Deposit and Sump Discharge on County Roads and Bridges

November 25, 2020

The public is advised that County of Lennox and Addington By-Law No. 2697/98 regulates and requires the removal of items obstructing, encumbering, injuring or fouling County roads and bridges. The parking of vehicles, depositing of snow and discharging of sumps on County roads and bridges during winter months are examples of actions prohibited under this by-law. Section 181 of the Highway Traffic Act further prohibits the deposit of snow and ice on a roadway.
