If you are in the market for a romantic YA novel, then read ahead for Caitlyn's review of 36 Questions that Changed My Mind about You by Vicki Grant.

"36 Questions that Changed My Mind about You begs the question: can love be engineered? Based on the psychological study by Arthur Aron and his colleagues in 1997, which aimed to determine if and how strong interpersonal bonds could be developed in a short period of time, this novel uses the framework of Aron’s 36 questions to create a wholly unique young adult love story."

This novel was engrossing. From page one, with prose, script, drawings, and messages, I was falling in love with Hildy and Paul.

"Eighteen-year-old Hildy is devastated by the discovery of her mother’s betrayal of her family and is trying desperately to shield her brother from the inevitable fallout while her parents tip-toe around the issue. On a whim, she decides to participate in a study that is using Arthur Aron’s 36 questions to determine if they can actually make people fall in love. Swept along by fate, she finds herself paired up with a guy named Paul. Paul is nineteen and totally, completely, and utterly alone in the world. All he’s there for is the forty bucks they get for completing the study. What happens when two opposite characters are put in a room together and asked to answer thoughtful, soul-searching questions honestly? Sarcasm. Arguing. And a fish being thrown at the other person. Despite their rocky start, Paul finds Hildy again and they finish the questions. Every single one. Along the way, they learn about themselves and about each other, and they find the courage to face their issues head-on. And then, after they’ve stared into each other’s eyes for four minutes, what happens? You’ll have to read the book to find out."
