I am happy to say that I am writing this blog from my desk actually inside the museum building. Cue celebratory fireworks! Having travelled through the twilight zone of working from home for the first time, I have come out the other side refocused, reenergized, and really really happy to be back.

Volunteers Needed - Rural Frontenac Lennox & Addington COVID Vaccine Clinic

In collaboration with FLA Ontario Health Team and multiple partners, RFLA are preparing for future vaccine clinics in RFLA region.  A clinic will be held 7 days/week, including 1-2 days/week at satellite sites in the region. Hoping to start before the end of March.

NOTE: RFLA do not yet have any vaccines, nor have clinic dates or locations been finalized.

This month we are celebrating the many achievements and contributions made by Black Canadians who have helped shape Canada into the culturally diverse and compassionate place it is today. Often overlooked is the fact the Black Canadians were enslaved here too. Black History Month is an opportunity for the majority of Canadians to learn about the experiences of Black Canadians in our society and the vital role this community has played throughout our shared history.
