Step 2 of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopening Begins June 30th

With public health indicators trending in the right direction, the Ontario government will move the province into step two of its Roadmap to Reopen plan two days early.

Ontario will loosen more COVID-19 restrictions as of 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, June 30. Previously, the government had planned to implement step two on Friday, July 2. Now that the province is going into step two, here are the restrictions being loosened.

KFL&A Public Health Region Moves to Yellow-Protect Level

The Government of Ontario has placed KFL&A Public Health in the Yellow-Protect level of the provincial COVID-19 Response Framework. Strengthened public health measures will come into effect in our service areas to help control the spread of COVID19 on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. Some of these new measures include limited hours of operations for certain settings, limits on the hours for sale at food and drink establishments, reduced recreational program sizes, and collection of patron contact information.

Stage 3 Openings begin on July 17th

On July 13th Ontario announced the next step in their reopening framework. Lennox and Addington County will move into Stage 3 as of Friday, July 17th. As a result, nearly all of our businesses and public spaces will be able to reopen with proper public health and workplace safety measures in place.

At 1:00 pm on March 26, 2020 Warden Marg Isbester declared a State of Emergency for the County of Lennox and Addington. This declaration implements the emergency plan of the municipality and will help protect the health, safety, well-being and property of residents. This declaration of a State of Emergency is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.
