Chantell McMahon recently enjoyed Together, Apart written by several popular YA authors, including Erin A. Craig, Auriane Desombre, Erin Hahn, and Bill Konigsberg. Here is her review:

This young adult novel is a collection of short stories about finding love in unexpected places while living in a pandemic. The stories give you hope, and possibilities in a time of isolation and uncertainty that are fun and relatable, which makes this a great lockdown read.

There are nine short stories, each unique and told from the perspective of each character and how they coped when there world was turned upside down.  Some stories include; a budding romance between the new girl in town and the pizza delivery boy, a girl who makes a business making masks using her prom dress, a shy teen who accidently joins a dog walking brigade, a competition of who is the best green thumb and a story of a boy who provides musical entertainment from his apartment balcony, are glimpses of what you can expect in this novel.

This is a great book that captures reality and shows that we are not alone in this world. If you are a fan of YA Fiction, enjoy short stories or you are looking for a book that puts a positive spin on this pandemic, then give this title a try.
