December 12, 2019 – Lennox and Addington County Council wishes to announce that Marg Isbester, Mayor of the Town of Greater Napanee, was elected County Warden for the year 2020, at Council’s Inaugural Meeting held on December 11, 2019. This is Marg Isbester’s first time serving as the County Warden.

Warden Isbester began her municipal service as a Councillor in Greater Napanee in 2010.  She was elected Deputy Mayor in 2014 and subsequently elected as Mayor in 2018.

As a member of Lennox and Addington County Council, Warden Isbester has served on the Prince Edward-Lennox and Addington Social Services Committee, the Economic Development Coalition, the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee and the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Board.

Warden Isbester and her husband Mac have lived in Greater Napanee for the past 50 years and are actively involved in the local community. They enjoy spending time with their sons Andrew and David, their daughter-in-laws and their five grandchildren.

In her inaugural address, Warden Isbester indicated that she was looking forward to working in collaboration with County Council, staff, local municipalities, provincial and federal representatives.  She stated, “Only by working together can we achieve our goals in this term of Council.” Warden Isbester highlighted that, “Investment in our infrastructure, whether it is roads and bridges, housing, information technology or training, must be done to stay ahead and prepare for the future.”
