On January 17, 2018 Lennox and Addington County purchased the Denbigh ambulance base property. The County has been operating an ambulance base from a leased facility in Denbigh since 2003. The County will continue to operate one ambulance for twelve hours per day from the newly purchased base.

“Lennox and Addington County’s purchase ensures that ambulance service will continue to have a location in Denbigh,” stated Warden Bill Lowry.

The County will make improvements to the building including installation of an automatic generator to ensure operations are not disrupted as a result of power outages.

Lennox and Addington County provides paramedic services through ambulance bases located in Napanee, Northbrook, Denbigh and Loyalist Township. The County responds to approximately 6,000 calls per year.
