Effective Monday, May 1st, the intersection of Dundas Street and Centre Street and the intersection of Dundas Street and Robert Street will be closed to traffic. This is required to facilitate the set-up and operation of the required pumping equipment so crews can install the new sanitary, storm, and watermains within the block. The underground work is scheduled to be completed mid-June. The surface restoration work will follow immediately afterwards with the intent to re-open the intersections prior to the July 1st (Canada Day) weekend.

Len Corcoran Excavating Ltd. (LCE) crews are currently working on completing the remaining service excavations within the Robert St to Centre St block. The temporary watermain is being installed and tested and the sanitary diversion equipment is being delivered to the site for set-up.

Although there will be NO EXIT for WESTBOUND traffic on Dundas St (due to the closure of Dundas St at Centre St intersection) vehicles will be permitted to enter this section of Dundas St and a turnaround area near the intersection will be provided. LOCAL TRAFFIC (not thru traffic) can by-pass the barricades to enter all NO EXIT blocks in the area. See attached map for closures points and detour routes.

Ongoing notices will be given to advise of future block closures as work progresses. Access to the block under construction will be provided to Emergency Service Providers and pedestrians looking to conduct business within this block. We appreciate your patience during the construction. Should you have any questions or require any further information please speak with any senior staff on site wearing a white hard hat or contact Diggin' Downtown Napanee's Community Liaison Officer.
