Our Ordinary, Extraordinary Lives is an exhibit at the Museum of Lennox & Addington that speaks to this message through vibrant photography, commentary, and art. Our families today may look different from families 150 years ago, but this fact transcends time - Our Ordinary, is the Extraordinary.

The Flood Family

"Britta, Tyler, and Weston are a beautiful family. I was lucky enough to be present for the birth of baby Weston. He was subsequently diagnosed with MCAD, a metabolic condition that requires vigilant round-the-clock management by his parents. The love and care they have taken with Weston since his birth has been incredible to witness. Not only are they wonderful parents, they are also strong supporters of the local community, and as entrepreneurs themselves, always take every opportunity to support local business. The day of our session, we met at MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company for an afternoon of music and food. Although deceptively sunny that day, it happened to be very cold, so our meeting was fairly short. Weston was adorable as always, though his usual smile was replaced by an inquisitive look, as if he was asking, “why is it so cold out here?” Still, even in a short amount of time, we captured some magic moments. Both mom and dad took turns holding Weston, and giving him kisses, and everyone enjoyed a little snack and some music!"
