The Lennox & Addington County Museum & Archives is offering a variety of family-friendly events and activities this March Break.

"The Tales of Peter Rabbit" - March 10th
Little Red Theatre brings the memorable tales of Beatrix Potter to life on Saturday, March 10th. There are two times to choose from: 11:30am and 1:30pm. Audiences will be entertained with animated puppets, mysterious shadows and lots of laughter. Whimsy abounds as they journey into the magic world of foxes, mice and bunnies.
Little Red Theatre is a Canadian touring company directed by Jody Terio and based in Toronto. Beginning in 1988, their mission is to create entertaining and thought provoking theatre productions. They tour schools, theatres, and libraries, performing about 200 shows a year, annually inspiring 70,000 kids. This presentation is recommended for children aged 4+. Tickets are available at the museum and online. Admission is only $3 per person (plus Eventbrite fees for online orders).
“Fun with Trains Day” - March 12th
The 4th annual 'Fun With Trains' day returns to the Museum on Monday, March 12th from 11am – 3pm! The Belleville Model Railroad Club and the Picton Model Railroaders will be back at the museum demonstrating model trains with a variety of train tables for the public to enjoy. Admission is free. “Tales & Tunes from the Land of Leprechauns” - March 16th
March Break programming wraps up with a St. Patrick’s Day theme on March 16th at 10:30am. Join Betty Bennett and Angelica Ottewill for a programme of interactive songs and stories from the Emerald Isle. The magical strains of Angelica’s harp will transport the listener to another time and place. Learn about leprechauns, King Brian Boru, and hear a funny story about a boy with a very tiny nose who grew up to be a man with a very tiny nose. But even though he had a tiny nose, he was so brave and clever that he defeated a giant and won the heart of a beautiful princess.
This performance is geared towards an audience of ages 3+. Admission is $3 each and tickets are available at the door. Learn more.
