Warden Smith has been part of a family farm business near Tamworth since 1970. He and his wife Linda live on Beaver Lake and are actively involved in the local community. They enjoy spending time with their sons Derek and Corey and their families.

In his inaugural address, Warden Smith indicated that he was looking forward to working with County Council and County Staff to address specific challenges. He stated, “My priorities for 2019 will focus on social housing, homelessness and our financial pressures.”  Warden Smith highlighted that, “The January opening of the Youth Hub and the spring opening of the new Stone Mills ambulance base will be exciting accomplishments for County Council.”
