It’s a Museum Kids Saturday at the L&A County Museum and Archives in Napanee. On November 4th at 10am, learn the ancient art of "Stamp Block and Print Making" with Spark Box Art Studios.

Kyle Topping and Chrissy Poitras of Spark Box Studio will be on hand for a relief print workshop. Children will learn about the history and art of block printing, a system that has been used since 500 BC. Kyle and Chrissy will walk participants through a step-by-step demonstration of preparing an image, carving the image into the printing plate and inking the image to create a print on paper. After the demonstration visitors will be welcome to ink pre-made printing blocks and print small works of their own. This printmaking process is one that is simple and easy to do at home.

This event is best-suited for children aged 4+. As always, admission to Museum Kids is free of charge. Get out and enjoy a great Saturday morning at Museum Kids, proudly presented by the L&A County Museum & Archives, located at 97 Thomas Street East in Napanee.
