As a way of bringing together local entrepreneurs and members of the community in celebration of Spring, the Napanee & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first of what it hopes to be an annual celebration called The Take Over. This special local food and beverage event will take place in the Lennox Agricultural Society Arena at the Napanee Fairgrounds, 170 York St., on Saturday, May 5, from 11am to 7 pm.

Folks attending the event will have the chance to try out the best of local beer, cider, wine and other beverages, as well as the tasty wares of a selection of local food vendors. As well, The Take Over will be presenting live music from several talented local artists and bands.

Single tickets are available for $15, while groups of four can be purchased for $55. Early birds can get single tickets for $12 or $40 for a group of four before April 6, after which regular prices will be in effect. All paid tickets come with an event sample cup and 2 tokens. The Take Over is an all-ages event, with kids 12 and under getting in for free and those 13-18 getting in with a donation to the local food bank. For more information, visit
