The Township of Stone Mills is found within the borders of Lennox & Addington County. Home to 7,702 people (2016 census), Stone Mills is home to agricultural lands, limestone, granite, marsh, conservation areas, streams, lakes, and rivers. Their name comes from the many water-powered mills that once served area farmers. Some have been maintained, others restored, and still others silently watch over their streams. Our gently rolling hills contain prime recreational land ideal for hiking, cycling, fishing, canoeing, and boating.

Residents of Stone Mills are served by the hamlets of Camden East, Centreville, Colebrook, Croyden, Enterprise, Erinsville, Moscow, Newburgh, Strathcona, Tamworth, and Yarker. Each community offers life’s simple pleasures - rural living at its finest. The township also falls only minutes away from neighbouring Greater Napanee and less than 30 minutes from the City of Kingston. Stone Mills has a wide range of available properties suited to both commercial and industrial users.

Business owners and entrepreneurs interested in making Stone Mills the location for their business have access to a full gamut of services from the Lennox & Addington Economic Development Office. Our Business Coaching service is free and confidential and can help familiarize you with the community, and aid in finding the appropriate people and resources to help your business or idea succeed.

The office can also assist with real estate searches, community statistics, as well as grant and financing opportunities. We connect businesses in finding research & development partners to support growth; this could apply innovative technologies to better streamline operations, while always trying to leverage funding to ease the cost burden on the entrepreneur.
