Lennox & Addington County has a proud heritage and unique history that is important to the early development of our country. From the arrival of the United Empire Loyalists in 1784 when their bateaux reached the shores of Adolphustown, to the time that Sir John A. MacDonald spent roaming the halls of L&A’s most storied residences, there are reminders of days past found at every turn.

 

 

 
 

Lennox & Addington County is steeped in history.  1,000’s of artifacts from earlier times can be found in several of museums in L&A where you learn about our storied past.
 
 

Lennox & Addington County is home to a large number of historic buildings and events.  Many buildings date back to the late 1700's and early 1800’s.
