Lennox and Addington County has announced the finalists for this year's county economic development awards.

 

Tourism product of the year finalists are Flinton Country Bluegrass Jamboree, the North American Gaeltacht, near Tamworth, and Waterside summer series of concerts on Amherst Island.

The small firm of the year will be chosen from among Hook's Rona in Addington Highlands, Kiley Paving of Odessa and L&A Mutual Insurance of Napanee.

Nominees for agricultural operation of the year are Kaiser Lake Farm of Greater Napanee, Lynch Farm of Stone Mills and Paulridge Berry Farm in Loyalist Township.

Bag To Earth, Rogan Kitchens and Willy Dog, all of Napanee, are the finalists for manufacturer of the year.

The awards, as well as a lifetime achievement award, will be presented at the county's sixth annual gala Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Strathcona Paper Centre. Jerry Howarth, longtime radio voice of the Toronto Blue Jays, will be the guest speaker. Tickets, $45 apiece, can be purchased by contacting the agency at 613-354-4883 or www.lennoxandaddington.com.
