At its regular Lennox & Addington County Council meeting June 23, 2010, the County’s newly re-designed web site was officially launched. The project was led by the County’s Senior Management Team, with particular responsibility assigned to the County’s Information Services department.

Warden Henry Hogg stated, “County Council is committed to the ongoing development of a communications strategy which will strengthen the liaison between municipal government and the citizens of the County Community, as well as beyond the County.”
A first step in the strategy was the commissioning of a new corporate identity which included a corporate logo which would clearly identify the County and its service.

Subsequently, the County embarked on the design of a new web site which would reflect the County’s new visual identity; be interactive; and present a unified image of all service areas, including Economic Development and Tourism.

A consulting team of Small World Media Group Inc and F3 eBusiness was engaged to assist with the development of the new web site. Small World Media Group presented design concepts for consideration, modification and approval and F3 undertook the technical components of building the site and making it functional in accordance with the Information Architecture.

The theme of the new site is “Welcome to Lennox & Addington – How Can We Help You?”

Warden Henry Hogg welcomes visitors to the newly re-designed web site with the front page Warden’s Message which states,

“Come on in. Welcome to our County Community. Our Team of dedicated County Councillors and Staff are very pleased to have this opportunity to show you around. Please join us as we take a virtual tour of our County and showcase our services to the folks in the neighbourhood and beyond.

The residents of Lennox & Addington work together, volunteer together, support one another and truly care about their community. We are pleased that our refreshed web presence allows us to communicate more effectively with our residents and friends.

We look forward to receiving your inquiries and feedback online, as well as by telephone, correspondence and in person. Our new corporate web site enables you to share articles of interest with others; gives you an opportunity to receive regular e-mails on specific topics; and will allow you to get in touch with us at any time.”
