INFORMATION SERVICES MEMBERSHIP

The County of Lennox & Addington Information Services department values its patrons. In 2010, Information Services introduced a new customized membership card. Just like a credit card, the new card is durable and easy to carry. It was designed in the colours of the County’s new visual identity and incorporates the County’s new logo. The cards are bar-coded and include a detachable key ring attachment.

Information Services membership cards are free and allow cardholders access to all of the County’s Information Services public service facilities. You can sign up for a free card at any of the County’s Branch Libraries and at the County Museum & Archives. Just be sure to bring identification and proof of address. Children’s membership requires a parent or guardian signature.

Your Information Services card will open doors to knowledge, reading, book clubs, programs, computer courses, workshops, speaker series, the history of our county community, multi-media materials and the world wide web.

Who can obtain an Information Services card?

Anyone who wishes to access any library materials or services, including computer use, books, periodicals, etc. [regardless of residence location] must register at the Library Circulation Desk by presenting an Information Services Card, or by providing suitable identification, including proof of name and address, and will be issued an Information Services Membership Card.

Access to library materials and services will be denied to anyone who does not register for and/or present an Information Services Membership Card.

Library privileges, including access to library materials and services, including public access computers, will be rescinded in the event of any abuse of privileges, such as failure to return library materials, inappropriate behaviour, etc.

Information Services cards are not transferable. The individual indicated on the library card is responsible for all library materials borrowed on his/her card whether authorized or not.

Lennox & Addington has a reciprocal borrowing agreement with Prince Edward County library. Present your Lennox and Addington County Information Services Card and receive a free Prince Edward County Library Card at any Prince Edward County Public Library.
