Funding for public library service in Ontario comes from two major sources. Municipal governments are the primary source of operating funds for public libraries. In 2010 the County share of the library budget is 92.7% of the total. A secondary source of operating funds is the provincial government which provides funding on an annual per household basis. In 2010, the Province of Ontario, through the Ministry of Tourism, Cultrue and Sport, provided $93,400 or 7.3% of the total budget.
