Information Services

The County of Lennox and Addington's Information Services department serves as a liaison between County Council and the public; assists Council in providing information on County Services and information in general; and facilitates input from the citizens of the County community.

The Information Services department co-ordinates and facilitates access to information through several services including library services, museum and archives services; and general communications services, including media, public information sessions and the world wide web.

The County of Lennox and Addington provides information services to County residents through a network of nine branch libraries, supported by the Information Services administration office and through the museum and archives facility.

County Council is very committed to the philosophy that every individual has the right to equitable access to information, whether they live in a rural area or an urban centre, and that "the public library promotes an open and democratic society - and a society committed to life-long learning".
