New Deputy Chief, Emergency Services

NAPANEE, Ontario – The County of Lennox & Addington is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robbie Burns to the position of Deputy Chief, Emergency Services.

Mr. Burns will provide direction to front line supervisors and seventy-five primary care paramedics, stationed at our ambulance bases throughout the County. Mr. Burns will also be responsible for quality assurance, education and training activities within the service.

Mr. Burns is certified as an Advanced Care Paramedic with over nineteen years of progressive experience in Emergency Medical Services. He has worked in a variety of clinical, educational, supervisory and managerial roles and holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Pre-Hospital Care from Charles Sturt University.

Director of Emergency and Long Term Care Services, Brian Smith, stated that "The County is very proud of our emergency services and the dedicated and highly skilled paramedics we have serving our residents. We have great confidence in Rob’s abilities, and are very pleased that he will be joining our management team."

Deputy Chief Burns will be commencing his duties on October 3, 2011.
