We moved to Napanee from Airdrie, Alberta five years ago upon retiring to be closer to family. We are thankful every day for the beauty around us in this area  - from wildlife, water and trees, to the miles and miles of paved picturesque roads for motorcycling that Lennox and Addington offer.

We’d decided to ride our bikes up to our cabin which is just outside of Northbrook off Highway 41. I love the ride up 41 highway going through Roblin (the gas station there has ice cream cones if you’re looking “for a snack), then through Erinsville and past Beaver Lake (the hotel there serves good meals) and on to Kaladar (the Shell station there has good food). I had talked my husband into trying Addison’s Family Restaurant for lunch. It just opened recently and is just a mile or so north of the Flinton Road. Our meals were very good, as was the service. We carried on to the cabin and were sitting on the front deck when we spotted a doe on the rocks along our hydro line. What a silhouette she made!

The return ride home, with the wind in our face, the curves in the road (which are a bikers delight), along with the other memories of the day had given me 'my best day ever'.
